Ryan is already two months old and we cannot believe how fast time is going. We keep saying that we will blink and he will be in college. His second month of life has brought lots of smiles, coos, finding his hands and tracking things. Ryan had a great 2 month doctor's appointment with Dr. Roe. He is already 11 lbs., 7 ozs. and 22.5 inches long. We had to endure the first big round of immunizations. Ryan was a trooper. He did not cry for very long and fell asleep as soon as we walked out of the pediatrician's office. Ryan started sleeping through the night and that makes Mommy and Daddy very happy. He wakes up happy and smiling. He loves to lay on his changing table where he kicks and smiles until we get him dressed. Also, we are happy that he is finally enjoying a bath. He likes being down in the water much better than a sponge bath! Ryan is so precious and we cannot imagine our life without him.

Ryan found his hands. Of course, they go straight to his mouth!
Relaxing in the bath after a long day and a big diaper...
Ryan's second month of life brought three new friends. Elizabeth Virginia "Libby" Gordon was born on January 8, 2010. We are so excited for Marie and Michael. She is so cute! Ryan is already enjoying his visits to see Libby and he cannot wait to play with her. Check out Libby at her parent's blog heirgordon.blogspot.com.
Also, Ian David McFadden was born on January 20, 2010. Melissa and Dave welcomed their little bundle of joy into the cold of Chicago, so we have not seen him in person yet. We cannot wait to meet him! You can also check on Ian at his parent's blog ohbabyitsababy.blogspot.com. And, we must not forget Olivia Lily Taylor, who was born on December 21, 2009. Joel and Rebecca already have sweet baby boy, Ethan. We have not been able to meet Olivia, but we are looking forward to doing so soon.
My grandmother also came for a visit right after Christmas and stayed through the middle on January. Ryan enjoyed visiting with his Great Granny Mary, even though it took him a little bit of time to warm up to her.

We are excited for 3 months and what other cute stuff that Ryan will start to do! We are looking forward to more visitors, playdates with Libby (she lives so close) and the addition of more friends!
